My all-time favorite quote about motherhood comes from the talk Daughters of God by Elder M. Russel Ballard:

What can you do, as a young mother, to reduce the pressure and enjoy your family more?

First, recognize that the joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction.

M. Russel Ballard

I’ve always found so much truth in that. Motherhood is hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s also the most rewarding. There are so many frustrating times… Tantrums, arguments, and hurt feelings…

But then those moments of joy happen. When my sons wrap their arms around me and tell me they love me, or when they mention me in their prayers. When they succeed at something they worked hard for, or they help out without being asked. Each one of those “shining moments” makes it all worthwhile.

Printable Mother’s Day Coloring Pages

To celebrate all you hard working moms out there, I made some “Mommy and Me” coloring pages! One page is simple, and the other is more detailed. I love coloring with my boys, but I’ve found that they usually don’t want to color quite as much as I do. That’s when having more than one option comes in handy. Have your little one work on the simple page while you make your own masterpiece!

You might notice that the coloring pages in these pictures are marked with “mint-clover.com” at the bottom. I briefly changed the name of my blog to Mint & Clover a while ago, but then decided to change it back. I just never updated the pictures for this post. Maybe someday…

The PDF file you receive will be stamped with aprilshappyplace.com.

I also included a page that’s formatted to be printed as a card. You can print it on card stock, color it, cut it out, write a love note inside, and give it to your favorite Mom!

Moms, I hope you never forget how much you mean to your families. Your work of loving, nurturing, and teaching your children is so important. They will never forget the time you took to sit down and listen to them, or spend one on one time coloring with them.😉

Enjoying your free printables? Consider leaving a tip in exchange for my undying gratitude ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day!
