#BecauseOfHim (Easter 2019)

This year for Easter we had Ryan’s sister Melissa and her family over for some Easter egg dying and hunting. But before we get to that, can we talk about how cute Mason is!? He is 6 months old and rolls from front to back and back to front. He has platinum blonde hair that is beginning to curl, and still has those big baby blue eyes. And his first tooth popped through this week! He is the cutest most happy little guy and he has us all wrapped around his cute little finger.

Christmas Eve Traditions

This is the first Chrstmas Eve we’ve spent on our own in our own home. It’s exciting, but also a little sad because we are still contagious and we miss seeing our extended family. We did our best to uphold our favorite Christmas Eve traditions even though this year was a little different than years past. Usually on Christmas Eve we have a pizza party with family, a white elephant gift exchange, we act out the Nativity while someone reads the story of Christ’s birth, and the kids get to each open one gift before they go to bed.

Christmas Festivities 2018

Today is the 22nd of December and we finally got our stockings hung by our chimney with care. It’s finally starting to feel like Christmas around here! Our tree is full of ornaments and cards, and even has a few presents underneith. Things have been crazy since October when we moved and had a baby. In November we had family come in to town for Thanksgiving (and we were trying to get the hang of having 3 kids), then in December we all got sick with HFMD. Now that we are all on the mend, things are finally starting to settle down enough for me to enjoy the spirit of the season. Our home feels so cozy and festive! My favorite thing to do is sit on the couch enjoying a Christmas movie while a fire blazes in our wood burning stove.

Halloween 2018

For Halloween this year, Kender wanted to be a ninja. We bought him a really sweet costume from Costco, but it was too small and by the time we returned it, there were zero ninja costumes left. So we began searching far and wide for the perfect costume.
