Daily Life

I’ve been busy with some new things lately and haven’t been writing much on my blog, but I’ve really missed it. This past weekend was General Conference, and I always love the guidance and peace I feel from hearing the words of the prophet and apostles of the Lord.

Rhett LOVES his baby brother. He also loves to do impressions of his baby brother… He’s pretty accurate.

Whenever Conference rolls around, I always feel drawn back to my blog. This is the place where I love to share my daily life with my family. To record our precious little moments together. To share my testimony, and the things that make me happy. It’s for myself and my posterity, but I hope that it can also brighten someone’s day, whoever or wherever they may be. I hope the things I share can bring light to someone’s darkness. Even if it’s just one person, and even if that one person is my own mom who has to read my blog because she’s my mom, that’s worth it to me (thanks mom ❤ )

Kender saw a clip of Hulk Hogan back in the 80’s and now he’s determined to be a strong man. I love that you can see how much Rhett looks up to his brother in this picture.

Writing on my blog helps me to refocus my thoughts. When I’m wasting my time focusing on how busy I am, or how stressful things are – there is something so therapeutic about sitting down, popping open my laptop and recording the things that bring me joy. Seeing pictures of my sweet family, and writing about the things we do and learn together. Solidifying those things in my memory, and reflecting on those daily moments, helps remind me of how blessed I am. No matter how stressful things get, we have each other, we love the Savior, and that is all that matters.

If you want to see something truly inspiring, watch my brother’s testimony. He’s struggled with addiction for 13 years, and now he is not only making positive changes in his life, but he’s sharing his story to help others. Granted, Big Jim rolled into town unexpectedly, but I’m so proud of Jake for being brave enough to open up and be vulnerable. I know he’s going to touch so many lives. I’m so proud of you Jake ❤
