I’m finally on the tail end of this horrid virus, but still feel bleh. Just really tired, but that’s much better than all the painful blisters, so I’ll take it. Mason has been getting little red bumps on his face and head for the past couple of days, and today he has lots. He’s had a low fever too, but it hasn’t gone over 99.7 (thank goodness!). It’s been awful to have HFMD again, but I’m glad that my case was the worst and the kids’ have been fairly mild. I’d much rather be the one who is sick than have to watch my children suffer and not be able to make them better.
Yesterday Ryan was feeling really tired, so I took his temperature (like I compulsively do whenever someone says “I don’t feel good.”) – It was 96.9. So naturally I freaked out and made him get in bed and put a hat on him, covered him with blankets, and summoned the cuddle crew:
The girls warmed him up, he had a nap, and woke up feeling fine. No one will be coming down with hypothermia for no good reason on my watch!
In other news, our hard floors and vaulted ceiling gives our living space quite the echo. Ryan discovered a 65% off sale on icanvas.com a couple weeks ago so we ordered some canvas art prints to help with the noise.
Buying art prints was one of those things that made us feel like real grown ups. We are gonna tweak the alignment of the paintings a bit (I think this one needs to be centered above the doorway, and the panoramic one needs to come down a few inches) when Ryan has more time. For now we just wanted to get them off the ground so some certain little boys wouldn’t mess with them.
I really want to get a canvas print of a painting of the Seattle Temple (where Ryan and I got married) but so far I haven’t been able to find one I like. If you know of one, please send me a link! Maybe someday I’ll paint one myself, but I don’t have the time or energy right now. Actually as I typed that out, the wheels in my head started turning… Maybe I will paint one myself.
