Life as a Family of 5

Mason is almost 1 month old and he is such an angel! He rarely cries, just grunts and makes cute little fussy noises when he’s hungry. He’s starting to be awake more during the day and sleep slightly longer stretches at night. Last night he got a 3.5 hour stretch! So far I’ve been taking care of Mason until 4:30 or 5am and then Ryan gets up so I can get a 4 hour stretch of sleep. I’m a little nervous for when Ryan goes back to work and our routine changes, but I know we’ll get the hang of it.

Rhett has finally started showing interest in Mason, and it’s very cute. He loves to lay down next to him on my bed and hold his hand. He also gets concerned if I don’t wipe Mason’s face right away when I’m feeding him, and he grabs a burp cloth and wipes him for me.

Now that Mason’s getting older and a little more predictable, I’m eager to start school again. It’s been nice being on break for our move and baby, but I miss the routine of school. And I miss learning with my sweet boys!

Once again, my heart is full. I feel so grateful that I get to be the mom of these three precious boys. I’m so unbelievably grateful for my husband. He’s such a great dad, and my very best friend. And I’m so grateful for our home ❤️
